![]() ![]() Man, I have been super excited about this since I first saw your comment. Then Google Forms will still work and you don't need any code. If you want them to be dynamic you will have to write some code, there's just no way around that Unless you find a way to set up the form to basically act like a static form, for example by adding 20 lines in case you need multiple tasks and using a simple number field for the duration instead of calculating it from two date fields. Microsoft Forms and Google Forms are designed to enter static data into a list, they were never supposed to be dynamic. Do you need the duration in seconds, minutes, hours, days or limited to 5, 10, 15 minute intervals? Is there a minimum duration or a maximum duration that needs to be checked? Are negative time spans allowed? Those are just a few examples, if you combine all of them you'd end up with a GUI that noone understands anymore and at the same time it still wouldn't be flexible enough for other use cases. ![]() The issue is that calculating the duration sounds easy on paper but there are just sooo many ways to do it that all the tools I know will not do this for you but instead just give you two date inputs so you can calculate it yourself. Meaning user-friendly for me, the guy creating the form/report/blah). There has got to be some kind of form/report/blah builder that is user-friendly (I don't have any experience with code - no VBA, JS, nothing, so I need user-friendliness. It is a production environment and the team leaders need to be able to tell me what item they ran, how much of it, what time they started/ended (and I need some way to auto-calculate the duration), etc. It seems GF is very simple, which is odd for Google, but I digress.īasically, I'm trying to create a digital shift report for my team members to fill out daily. If it allowed me to move the sections around, add things where I want them instead of just going straight down the page, and if it could do calculations to automate the process I'm implementing, I would have no complaints.īut as far as I know.
